Craig Merritt
Founder/Executive Director/Mentor
Diagnosed with FSGS in 2000, Craig spent over two decades navigating life with chronic kidney disease before receiving a kidney transplant on November 6, 2023. His journey inspired his mission to support and guide kidney and dialysis patients through their own health challenges.
Craig is a certified Kidney Health Coach with the American Kidney Fund and holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Through his work, he is committed to empowering individuals—especially in underserved communities—to take charge of their kidney health. Craig is also the host of The Kidney Korner Podcast on the YouTube channel @getinposition21, which features other kidney patients and healthcare professionals. Its approach is from a patient perspective.

Diamond Powell

Diamond Powell is a two-time kidney transplant recipient at Duke University Hospital. Drawing from her personal journey, Diamond is also a certified Health & Lifestyle Coach, Nutrition & Wellness Coach, and a Kidney Health Coach with the American Kidney Fund, bringing both professional training and lived experience to the individuals she supports.
Diamond is passionate about helping others get in position to take control of their health and move forward with confidence and hope.
